Principal’s Message

Welcome to West Creek, where Together, we learn. Together we lead.
We are confident in our team, which includes our teachers, staff members, scholars, families and involved community members.
TOGETHER, we work towards our common goal: West Creek continues to be your family’s choice, because we provide a safe and academically rigorous, elementary school setting for your children!
Our team is dedicated to collaborating with you in support of our scholars’ needs. We intentionally plan for a safe, warm and enriching learning environment each day. Our House system is intentionally planned to incorporate experiences that engage, support, empower and inspire our scholars to learn and lead!
We expect every student to do their best each day and attend school consistently, ready to learn and lead. A good attitude towards school will help scholars develop their academic, physical and emotional skills.
Relationships are grounded in good communication. We have a parent/student handbook that will answer many of the questions often asked. It is a combination of school board policies and West Creek practices, and may be updated periodically via weekly phone calls and emails.
Scholars’ daily use of teacher-made agendas helps to promote academic success at school and written communication between school and home adults. We consistently communicate with families via the Parent Square app, with daily and weekly, two way communication.
Parents and Community Members, we need you! Your individual involvement is crucial to our continued success as we achieve excellence together.
ADDitions volunteers and Partners in Education (PIEs- local businesses and organizaitons) can apply each year to support our school and our scholars via the OCPS website.
We are happy to have you as a part of our West Creek family. Together we will make this another great school year!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Michelle Couret
