End of School Year Info

Beginning on May 18, 2020 we invite families to drive thru to drop off items (library books, student ID cards, patrol belts) and pick up personal items (including pre-ordered school pictures and end of year awards certificates) between 9am-1pm on these specific dates:

May 18- Kindergarten
May 19- First Grade
May 20-Second Grade
May 21- Third Grade
May 22- Fourth Grade AND Families with 2+ students*
May 26- Fifth Grade

*If you have multiple students, you may choose to come each day for each different grade level for your children. However, please let your children’s teachers know if you will come on May 22 to collect all materials at one time.

Parents, please help us to maintain safety by following these guidelines:

Before coming:
1) All items to be dropped off (library books, student ID cards on lanyards, patrol belts) should be placed in a sealed, plastic bag, labeled with the student’s name and description of items.

2) Cars should have a sign visible through the front windshield with the student’s first and last name, and teacher’s name written in BIG BOLD LETTERS.

While at school:
1) Follow staff directions, going to the designated station.
2) Drive slowly and carefully.
3) Stay in your car until you arrive at your designated station.
4) Wait for staff members to direct you to exit your car and go to the station table. There you will drop off your bag with items, pick up your child’s personal items from school, AND sign that you’ve received the items.

Once you arrive at your designated station, this exchange should be less than a minute long.
Although we will be thrilled to see you, please do not approach any staff member or linger to speak with any other families.
We ask that this be completed quickly and safely. Thank you for your cooperation!

**If you need to pick up any items from the clinic, please call the school for an appointment.

**Please call the school if you have any questions regarding registrations or withdrawals.

All Kindergarten, First and Second grade students will be receiving enrichment learning packets throughout the summer. Although they will offer great practice and we encourage students to work on them each week, these are completely optional, and do not need to be submitted back to the school or any teacher.

Students in third, fourth and fifth grade who are in need of additional instruction have been offered summer sessions. If you received an application, please return it to your child’s teacher by tomorrow. If you have any questions about this, please communicate with your child’s teacher.

OCPS Supports

The Student Services department in collaboration with the Homeless Education department created a new resource for families to gain assistance from the various social and mental health services provided by the district. The new resource is called OCPS Supports. Parents/guardians will be able to complete a short survey with their contact information and the department where they are seeking assistance. A staff member will be in touch with the family within one to two business days. Click on the link to get started: https://tinyurl.com/OCPSSupports
